Mahara Hui attendees,
We would like to thank everyone who filled in our feedback questionnaire after Mahara Hui. Almost half of you gave us feedback, which was very helpful to us.
In general, the conference feedback was very positive. We are happy to have provided a good setting for talking about ePortfolios and meeting other community members. A big thank you goes to the presenters, who did a fabulous job sharing their stories, and all attendees for participating in the discussions.
The feedback showed that a number of people would have liked the option of attending workshops / hands-on sessions and not just presentations. Attendees enjoyed the hack fest but suggested that we could have made its purpose clearer by having a stream for developers and one for users, thus structuring the event more.
The feedback reinforced that Mahara Hui was a valuable event for the New Zealand and Australian Mahara community. We are therefore in the process of planning next year's event. We are also planning to set up a Kiwi Mahara User Group (MUG) in the meantime, so that community members can exchange ideas and get together online or in person before the next Mahara Hui.
We invite you to fill in our short questionnaire if you are interested in participating in a MUG and would like to be kept up to date about future activities.
We would also like to draw your attention to two upcoming ePortfolio events in Melbourne in the second half of the year (presentation proposals for both are due on 19 May 2014):
We look forward to seeing you at a future event and online soon.
