We are very happy to announce that Sam Taylor from Southampton Solent University in the UK is going to be one of our keynote speakers. She has been an active member of the Mahara community for years. Sam is a Learning Technologist at Solent University where she has been supporting Mahara since 2008.

Solent University is using Mahara in numerous interesting ways, amongst them in the areas of personal development and employability, and Sam supports them all by creating support material for staff and students as well as designing activities. Sam presents on Mahara frequently at UK and international events.

In her keynote "Growing up with Mahara", Sam will talk about her and Solent University's journey from 2008 to the present highlighting phases that they went through in order to implement and expand the use of Mahara over the years. Sam will pay attention to pedagogical and technical decisions and reflect on these showing why certain steps were taken, what stumbling blocks were overcome and how the Solent University community makes best use of Mahara.

We look forward to having Sam join us for Mahara Hui. She will also attend the pre-hui day on 8 April 2015 where you can pick her brain as well.
